    • On file: there are about 20 letters I have on file from Peter's children to him (Robert, John, Ella, Jessie) and one letter from his nephew Alexander Patrick Cameron (of Ardshiel). All letters dated between 1870 and 1877).

    • Started career in The Union Bank of Scotland around 1830 under James A Anderson after working for him in his capacity as a merchant in Glasgow.

      Whilst in Whitehaven and up to his death Peter was a trustee of Lord Lonsdale, treasurer of the Whitehaven & W Cumbria Infirmary, of the Whithaven Board of Guardians, of the Whitehaven Rural Sanitary Authority, of the Whithaven District Highway Board and various other local organisations.
